What began as a fiery passion project has become a family business for Ken and Martina Wade.
Armed with a degree in Food Technology and a Master’s in Food Science & Technology, Ken spent 18 years in the food and beverage industry — including seven years in New Zealand formulating beverages. Returning to Ireland, he worked in Research & Development before turning his creative focus to something closer to his heart: hot sauce.
Hot Sauce Addict turned Creator
Inspired by the popular YouTube series Hot Ones, Ken first crafted his sauces for a tasting challenge with his three brothers.
What began as a fun family experiment quickly grew legs, finding fans at local farmers’ markets where Ken and his wife Martina shared their bold, handcrafted creations and gathered invaluable feedback from the community.
Thanks to that support, BRAZEN Chilli has evolved from a market stall favourite into a recognised Cork brand. Today, Ken and Martina are bringing their fearless flavours to shelves across Ireland — always staying true to their roots of passion, persistence, and real ingredients.
